At United Presbyterian Church we love our children and welcome them into our family of faith. We offer a variety of experiences for children of all ages so they can learn about God’s love and have fun doing so.
Sunday School Begins at 9:45 a.m.
We offer a nursery for children through two years of age. Our nursery workers will love and care for your child during the Sunday School hour as well as during Worship.
Risen Student Ministry at UPC is designed for 6th through 12th graders to come together for fun, fellowship, and growth in Christ. We meet for Sunday school at 10am and for youth events most Sunday evenings at 5 where we share a meal before we play games and discuss faith issues. We’re excited to have any and all bring their perspectives and personalities! Please see our Facebook page (Risen Student Ministry at UPC) or come join us in person for more information!
The Presbyterian Women of UPC are excited to be back as a formal group in the church. UPC PW has a very active history in the church and exists to serve the church, community and the world.
Currently, we have 2 different times to meet and study together. Join us the first Tuesday of the month at 7pm or for the Ruth Circle on the second Tuesday of the month at 10am. We are studying the Horizon’s Bible Study “Reconciling Paul: A Contemporary Study of 2nd Corinthians” for the 2014-2015 school year (September-May).
We typically meet as a group the third Sunday of the month September – May. Our Fall Kickoff Luncheon will be Sunday, September 28 following worship. Bring a yummy salad to share! Our Fall calendar will be released then and we look forward to joining together in a variety of mission and social opportunities.
The Community Garden is one of the newer ministries of UPC. We currently have 9 raised beds, an apple tree and herb garden. This season, the garden has been fruit and veggie filled! From corn on the cob to squash and green beans to strawberries and cantelope – all the fruits (and veggies) of our labor have been delicious!
We have been able to bless those at the Johnson County Christian Lodge with some of the fresh produce for their meals. The possibilities of this ministry are endless and we are excited about all that God can do through some land, seeds, sunlight, water and willing workers.
If you are interested in this ministry, please contact the church office or Mary Kay Koffman.
